SecurityTrax Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how SecurityTrax LLC (collectively “SecurityTrax”, “we”, “us”, and “ours”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website and when you log in to your password-protected account through any website, mobile application or other online property owned, operated or controlled by us (“Sites”). It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.

Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, SecurityTrax) are called “first party cookies.” Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called “third party cookies.”

Why do we use cookies?

We use only first-party cookies that are strictly necessary for our Sites to operate and to keep you securely signed in. We refer to these as “essential” or “strictly necessary” cookies. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not use third-party analytics, advertising, social-media, or other cross-site tracking cookies on our public website.

Essential Cookies: These cookies are strictly necessary to provide you with services available through our Sites and to use some of their features, such as access to secure areas. Because these cookies are strictly necessary to deliver the Sites to you, you cannot refuse them through our Sites, although you can block or delete them by changing your browser settings as described below under “How can I control cookies?” If you do so, you will not be able to log in to your secure account and certain features of the Sites will not function.

Cookie Provider Purpose
Application session cookie (a first-party *_session cookie) SecurityTrax (first party) Maintains your session and keeps you signed in to your secure account as you move between pages. Expires at the end of your session or after a period of inactivity.
XSRF-TOKEN SecurityTrax (first party) Helps protect you and our Sites against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) by validating that requests originate from our Sites.

Do we use any other tracking technologies?

No. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, retargeting, social-media, or other cross-site tracking cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, or similar technologies on our public website. If this changes in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy and, where required, provide appropriate notice and choices before such technologies are used.

How can I control cookies?

You can set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies. As the means by which you can refuse cookies through your web browser controls vary from browser to browser, you should visit your browser’s help menu for more information. Because the cookies we use are strictly necessary, blocking or deleting them will prevent you from logging in to your secure account and will impair core functionality of the Sites.

How often will you update this Cookie Policy?

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. Please visit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies. The date at the bottom of this Cookie Policy indicates when it was last updated.

Where can I get further information?

If you have any questions about our use of cookies or other technologies, please email us at legal@securitytrax.com
