Release Notes — November 4, 2026

New

  • Case management for work orders and tickets — Work orders and tickets can now be assigned to a Department, the team that owns the work, separate from the person assigned. They can also be given a Reason under their type and marked Pending. Lists show a status of Scheduled, Pending for N days, Open, or Closed, and you can filter by Department, Case Status, and Reason. Bulk Edit can set Department and Pending on up to 500 records at once.
  • Departments — Set up departments under Administration → Org Structure, nest them, and add the people who cover them. A new My Departments — Unassigned section on the Home dashboard lists open, unassigned work in your departments, with an Overdue count. Departments decide who owns the work. They don't change who can see it.
  • Reasons for note types — Admins can add Reasons to each Customer Note Type, such as Service › No signal, to sort work orders and tickets more finely. Reports can show Department, Reason, and Pending columns.
  • Comments on work orders, tickets, and appointments — Saved work orders, tickets, and appointments now have a Comments timeline that keeps each person's notes with their name and time. Technicians' checkout notes are added automatically, and comments on a linked appointment appear on its work order or ticket. Comments can't be edited. Only users with the new Delete Comments permission can delete them.
  • Mark org units inactive — When an office closes, mark its org unit inactive instead of deleting it. Inactive units are hidden from the structure and the customer list's Org Unit filter unless you choose to show them. A new Org Unit Status report filter can leave their customers out of reports.
  • Credit memos on the customer record — Create a credit memo from a customer's + New Transaction menu. Fill it from an existing invoice found by its number, or enter a fixed amount, then apply it to invoices.
  • Stop a recurring invoice — A recurring invoice set to repeat until stopped now has Actions → Stop Recurrence, which ends future invoices but keeps the recurring invoice. Stopped invoices are marked Stopped on the Recurring list.
  • Generate Invoices X Days Before Sale — Set how many days ahead (1 to 30) recurring invoices are generated, under Global Settings → Billing & Invoicing → Recurring Invoice Settings.
  • Equipment on SecurityTrax eDocs — Electronic document templates can now include the customer's equipment as an Equipment List, as per-row fields, or as an Equipment Table that prints the rows that fit and adds a "+N more items" line for the rest. A Generate Rows action fills a page with rows in the designer.
  • Document Defaults for eDocs — A new Document Defaults page under Electronic Document Templates sets the font, size, and style for text, date, and radio fields across all your templates. You can still override them on a single field. Text now prints at a fixed size instead of shrinking to fit its box, and later signers see earlier signers' entries exactly as they will print.
  • Duplicate payroll role functions and levels — The payroll role function and level editors now have a Duplicate action. It copies every setting into a new "(Copy)" but doesn't copy user assignments, so the copy pays nobody until you assign users.
  • Lookup tables in payroll expressions — Payroll expression rows can now use lookup tables, so a full rate sheet (for example, a multiplier by package and credit tier) fits in one row. Payroll Examples include new worked examples.
  • Alarm.com interactive lockout — The Alarm.com Actions menu on a customer now has Manage Interactive Lockout. It shows the current lockout status from Alarm.com and lets you turn lockout on or off, with an optional reason.

Improved

  • Accounts receivable aging — Aging Invoices, the Invoices summary card, and a customer's Accounting tab now calculate aging the same way, using each invoice's Due amount. Buckets are now Current, 1-30, 31-60, 61-90, and 90+. Payments that haven't processed or were declined no longer reduce the balance, and overpaid invoices count as $0. Refund receipts are shown separately on the customer's Accounting tab as Refund Receipts Due. Old links and saved filters still open the matching bucket.
  • Time off on the schedule — Time-off blocks on the Company Calendar, My Time Off, and the appointment scheduler are now striped with a no-entry icon, so they can't be mistaken for appointments. If you can manage a block, it has an info icon for its details and a pencil to edit it. Turn on Show time off notes on scheduler under Calendar & Scheduling Settings → Display & Status to show notes on blocks.
  • Secure Information Portal with Operations Plus — The Secure Information Portal is now included in Operations Plus, for companies with a payment gateway enabled. Companies already using it keep it.
  • Company Inventory filters remembered — Filters on Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, RMAs, Spillage, Transfers, Pending Equipment, and the Equipment Ledger are now kept when you leave the page and after you log out and back in, like the Accounting lists.
  • Credit scores — Credit scores of 000 and other scores with leading zeros can now be saved, and they show exactly as entered. Credit check cards show "No score" when a check has no score.
  • Recurring invoice wording — The recurrence option now reads "Unlimited (until stopped or deleted)". When you delete a recurring invoice, the confirmation suggests Stop Recurrence if you only want to end future invoices.
  • DocuSign errors — If DocuSign rejects a new envelope, for example because of an invalid Brand ID, you now see DocuSign's reason instead of an error page. The provider settings now check that a Brand ID is in the right format.
  • ADT monitoring plans — DIY Pro Protection, DIY Pro Protection Video, and DIY Pro Protection Video with LifeSafety are now available as ADT monitoring plans.

Fixed

  • Bulk Edit on Work Orders and Tickets — After a Bulk Edit, the Work Orders and Tickets lists now show the updated values.
  • Converting purchase requisitions — Converting a purchase requisition to a purchase order no longer fails after the PO is created. A PO now includes only the chosen vendor's items, and partial orders add to what the requisition has already ordered.
  • Credit memos on Transactions — A credit memo now shows once on a customer's Transactions list, with a positive amount, and no longer counts twice in the tab's count.
  • Electronic document template designer — New sizes for saved fields are now kept, and the field preview no longer flashes when you click.
  • Signed electronic documents — A completed document always downloads exactly as it was signed, even if the template or Document Defaults change later. Recipient email addresses that can't receive mail are now rejected when you save, instead of being skipped at send.
  • Pages with long addresses — Portal pages with very long web addresses, such as heavily filtered lists, no longer fail to load.
  • Rate picker filters — The filter toggles in the monthly rate picker are no longer cut off when form labels are shown on the left.
  • Multi-select user defined fields (classic interface) — Multi-select user defined fields now save and display correctly on classic interface screens.
