Release Notes — August 20, 2026

New

  • Business names on commercial accounts — Commercial customers now display by their business name everywhere their name appears: the customer and lead lists, ticket and work-order lists, the customer record header, home dashboard cards, recently-viewed items, and browser page titles. A new Administration > Global Settings > Appearance > Customer Names page controls the display, including an option to append the contact person's name. A matching Customer or Business Name field is also available in email campaigns, workflow steps, and e-document/e-contract templates, alongside the existing Customer Name field.
  • Customer & Lead list column settings — A new Appearance > Customer & Lead Lists page lets administrators turn the optional customer-list columns on or off themselves, and adds an optional Business Contact column to the customer and lead lists.
  • Convert a quote to an invoice — A quote can now be converted into a standard invoice directly from the invoice editor, so an accepted quote becomes billable without re-entering its line items.
  • Duplicate an appointment — Appointments can now be duplicated from the appointment editor and from the calendar and inline appointment views. The copy carries over the key details so you just pick the new time; tags on the original can optionally be carried over too.
  • Company Calendar — group by user — The company calendar can now group the schedule by user, making it easier to scan each person's day.

Improved

  • Home Dashboard — Sections now load on demand and page in place without reloading the whole screen, so the dashboard is faster and keeps your place. Appointments get a full table layout on larger screens, overdue items now appear in the "due today" cards with an Overdue badge (matching how the classic home page worked), and the distinction between the Today and Specific Day views is clearer.
  • Customer creation — The Business Name and Business Contact fields now appear on the Information step for all companies, and Account Class now comes before Account Type.
  • Brinks e-contracts — Financed contracts now include the Equipment Split Rate Brinks requires, entered as either a dollar amount or a percentage. SecurityTrax validates it up front so a financed contract can't be submitted without it.
  • Payables — Users with View-only permission on Payables can now open an individual payable to review it read-only, instead of needing edit access to see the details.
  • At-Risk Entries — The "All At-Risks" page and permission are now named At-Risk Entries for clarity.
  • Property Ownership — The "Home Ownership" field label is now Property Ownership, since the premises can be a business.
  • Pending equipment creation — The equipment tables on the create screens now keep their column headers visible while you scroll.
  • E-document templates — New e-document templates now default Pre-fill customer info to on.
  • Login screen — Quick links to SecurityTrax.com, the Learn center, and Release Notes now appear below the login form.

Fixed

  • Customer edit — The Save button no longer hangs when the Alarm.com receiver lookup is slow or unavailable; the receiver list now loads independently of the rest of the form.
  • User photos — Photos taken on a phone no longer appear rotated sideways or upside down after upload.
  • Payroll — Payroll triggers no longer create duplicate payable entries, and payroll lookup-table calculations resolve correctly.
  • Statements — Statements generated from a customer record now use the customer's designated statement billing address, and the address formats correctly on the printed statement.
